German gas company Buhler gas-cooled gas cooler sold to new buyer
BUHLER, Germany – A gas-fired refrigerator manufacturer in Germany, Buhler, has sold to a new buyer the contract to supply gas-to-electricity conversion systems for commercial and industrial customers.
The acquisition of the gas-electrication conversion unit in a unit of the German gas giant Bayer AG (BAG) is the largest of its kind in the world, said Buhler.
The company has a global sales network, including the global market for refrigerators, the unit of Bayer AG, for which it has already delivered gas-driven electric refrigerators.
The purchase will improve the efficiency of the existing electric refrigeration system at the company’s facilities in Buhlers, in the north of Germany.
Bayer AG said in a statement that it has bought a contract from Buhler to supply electric refrigerator conversion systems in Europe and North America.
Bavarian-based Buhler has been involved in the gas refrigeration business since the late 1960s and its gas-powered refrigerators have been used in a wide range of industries, from refrigeration to air conditioning.
